How to melt melting chocolate
WebWell, there are two easy ways to melt your chocolate. Bain-Marie Method One way is to do it in a bain-marie, also called double boiler. Fill a large pan with water halfway and put it on the stove. Chop your chocolate and put it in a heatproof bowl. Put the bowl into a pan filled with simmering water, the water shouldn’t boil! Place over a medium heat and bring to a very gentle simmer. Place a heatproof bowl on top of the pan so that it fits snugly but doesn’t touch the water. Lower the heat to a very gentle simmer. Break up the chocolate and add to the bowl, then leave to melt for 4-5 mins, stirring regularly.
